Halos Lost & Found

Introducing: WINE DRUNK An experimental collaboration between me and my sweet friend James of "Ditch Lily" MegaFame. We hope that you will find some diamonds in the rough during your visit to Halos Lost and Found!

JAMES: "This album came out of the sky like a giant snowflake, Elora and I just happened to catch it. Elora and I have been friends for years now, I think it’s fair to say that we met in the ether, and have stayed there. This album is unique in both of our catalogs, I think we both poured our most esoteric feelings into this album. But please don’t be fooled, the lyrics are the veins of this album. And because words shared from far away are what has kept us (spiritually? heartfully?) close, I think that makes sense—that the binding agent in these songs are the lyrics. Singers of these songs run on frozen lakes, they mumble prayers in crowded bars, they ride their bike through empty towns in the summer and see holy signs, they see a winter night freeze even the light around it. they are me. they are Elora. They are you too. We are Wine Drunk. Namu Amida Butsu. Halos halos halos. A string of yarn. Dead goldenrod on a mantle. Oil swirls in a gas station parking lot." 

ELORA:  "this album feels like a photograph to me. Putting this together felt like cleaning underneath your bed for the first time in years and discovering a loveletter you don't remember writing. It is a picture of what was and is, it is questions, and answers, and more questions. But most importantly, it forever captures the shape and form of the love and community that I found in Michigan, Mount Pleasant, and beyond. I would like to thank a few people: James, thank you for making this album with me. You are so very kind and intelligent, and you are the most encouraging person I have ever met in my entire life. You make me love creating, and appreciate the mundane in a way that is extremely special. Thank you for challenging me and experimenting with me :) Melanie, thank you for being such a wonderful friend to me, you are so funny and talented and I don't know what I would do without you. Let's make music together forever :) Jax, you are my flesh. Thank you for filming the Eeyore video, and thank you for always being there. You are extremely smart, funny, and emotionally intelligent, I love you more than I have ever loved anyone or anything. I know that we will find our way to each other in the end. Special thanks to Noelle for shooting the album cover. love you forever sweetheart no matter what. I'm so glad that we met, I hope that we can stay friends."
